Henrique Netto is a Brazilian visual artist. He began working at film production companies in 2012 and, in 2018, moved to Portugal to dedicate himself to the visual arts. He graduated in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and, since 2021, has been developing the Electroctopus imaginary.
The imaginary critically investigates how the digitalization of the world and human cyborgization transform planetary life. You do not need a chip in your brain to be a cyborg: it is enough to think and exist as one. Electronic waste, plastic, resin, medication, metals, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation and video are materials and techniques that make up the continuous delineation of the Electroctopus being.
